The Young Adult Librarian from the West Bend Public Library, Kristin, is active on one of the listservs that I'm on, and she posted about this right when it began.. like forever ago. It's so sad and, yes, completely infuriating. It's a true story that happens way more often than it should because of people who are small-minded, intolerant, ignorant, and in need of a hobby. She's had the utmost support from the library and the Library Board for the most part, and the national library community in general, but she's also personally taken the brunt of this, and I can't image the strength that she has to be able to stand up to it all.. which amazingly she has.
